Anybody installed one of the newer Espar units (http://www.espar.com)? I'm thinking about investing in one 7,500BTU/HR units that runs on gasoline. My idea would be to mount it between the rails underneath the car with a weather tight housing surrounding it. The fresh air intake would be through the floor just behind the copilot seat and the heated air outlet would be through the under seat cabinet in the back like the existing rear heater. I'm thinking I could mount the thermostat on the outside of the closet.

Expensive unit though - about $1400 for the parts but it would give us near year round camping ability with reasonable comfort.
