I reference the manual by Tom Wilson. How To Rebuild Your Volkswagen Air
Cooled Engine.
From the diagrams and descriptions it appears that the blocking of the
oil cooler will just bypass the oil into the sump(back to the pan) when
the pressure reaches the trigger point for your relief valve. All the
while maintaining the pressure to your oil galleries in your engine.
I will readily accept correction on this since I don't know a stinking
thing about WaserBoxers other than I don't want one.
