the snow white virus has been coming from one or more listmembers for several months. I have received it (but never opened it) numerous times. it is a self-replicating virus (worm actually)that attaches itself to the infected computer address book and sends itself out to those listed there without the owner's knowledge. how do I deal with it? under the message heading, when the offending message is highlighted, but not opened, I choose block sender. that operation will then automatically send all future messages sent by sexyfun (in the case of show white) or whoever immediately to the delete file. that way I never even see them and can never open them by mistake. I also run a virus program on a regular basis. my understanding is that it is not a destructive virus, but merely a self-replicating worm. disturbing, but not destructive. good luck. mick hilo, hawaii |
