Robert, I would like to publicly THANK YOU for all your help Saturday - the world needs more people like you! Just to fill in the list to the great deed that Robert did for me, I was delivering a Transporter to Seattle for a couple who was flying in from Memphis TN to pick it up on Sunday (today). On the trip down the water pump got a little noisy - perhaps it was that 2.5h wait at the Sumas boarder crossing :( I made it to Seattle with no problems, but I did find a small puddle of coolant on the ground where the pump was leaking the next morning. I figured if I was going to drive from Seattle to Memphis, I would want to have a good water pump... now... how do I get a pump changed in Seattle on a Saturday... I called Carter VW - they quoted 3h at $79.95 an hour (OUCH!) and $125 for the pump - no openings until Tuesday. Oh boy! Then I remembered that Robert and his westie - "Warmer Wagon" lived in Seattle - quickly going thru the phone book I found his number and called. He was on his way out the door to go kayaking, but put aside his plans to help me out. He helped me sourced a water pump for $60 and I had the use of his driveway for the afternoon to install the new pump. Totally fantastic! I can't thank you enough Robert! THANK YOU!
