Subject: Ceramic Coated Vanagon Exhaust Available!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I now have Ceramic Coated exhaust systems available for all watercooled Vanagons. These systems use a 5th generation HPC ceramic coating, originally developed for aircraft, which both prevents rust and holds in heat. This coating is commonly used on high-performance sports/racing exhaust systems for both rust prevention and increased horsepower.

Thse systems are the same S&S header systems that have previously been available, but ceramic coated. These are true header systems, so they will provide both a slight horsepower increase and a slightly louder tone than the stock system All pipes and muffler are coated, including flanges etc. These are made to order and there is a two week lead time (in addition to transit time).

The good news is that this finally provides a less rust-prone alternative to stock for those of you with pre-1986 Vanagons, or Syncros (as Stainless Steel complete systems are not available for either vehicle). If you have a 2-wheel drive '86-91, you now have a choice between this, or my Stainless Steel stock exhaust system (which is about the same price).

Price is $549.95. Part number V70KC for 1.9 liter engine ('83-85), or V71KC for 2.1 liter ('86-up including Syncro).
