Good morning All, Well, Peter inspired (and helped) me to finally do something about my rusted coolant pipes. I have been searching and trying to find the right material to change out the rusted section of the pipes, and the list wisdom pulls through again. I went to a local marina and purchased a 12.5 foot, 1.25 inch ID, marine exhaust/coolant hose. Long story short, I now am worry free about the last 4 or so feet of coolant hose into my engine bay. Thank you one and all. Less than 2 days from picking up Willie in the Van! (Our 3'rd adopted child) Question... I know there was talk about getting your Van painted about a year ago and someone mentioned Maaco. I know they are independently owned and operated but has anyone gotten there Van or car done there and do they do a nice job? We got quotes for over 2K from body shops and our local Maaco said $1,300.00. He said our Van was one of the nicest he seen/painted of that vintage and he could take care of my seam rust for me (which he knew they were prone to have). He seemed comfortable and aware of the Vanagon. In the course of conversation he mentioned things specific to the breed. Could anyone voice their opinion for me on the subject? Thank you for your time.

Rich and Annemarie 85 GL "Buba"
