Mike STEBRO does not make the header pipes just a Muffler and J-pipe for 2.1 engines and just a Muffler for 1.9 engines. See STEBRO/Vanagon Stainless Steel Exhaust System for complete details. You can get stainless steel header pipes made by DANSK from The Bus Depot - Discount VW Parts - Main Menu. I have had these header pipes on my '87 Westy since June of 2000 when Ron first offered them for sale. I was just under my van yesterday checking things out and they are doing fine. Except.......the flanges and support brackets are not stainless and are showing copious amounts of rusting of the support brackets. My van is driven daily through our lovely salt covered roads here in Eastern Ontario. The pipes however still look perfect. I expect the support brackets will have to be repaired in another year or so. Sure would be nice if DANSK would do the flanges and support brackets out of stainless. DANSK and Bus Depot are you listening ?
