I had about the same thoughts as I proceeded to install the EMPI adapter. My thought:" When the hell are these two valves ever going to fall into sync?" Is the 5/8: freeze plug you mention the cup type or shallow dome" Is there any danger of the installation process breaking the oil filter mount when it is installed with a hammer blow? I was a little concerned when I got no instruction with the Empi adapter.
