Mike, I have been studying this oil cooler flange for some time. As you know the first source of upgraded technology for any VAG subsystem is the Audi, and for these engines, the Audi 5000, N/A and Turbo. However, I have no clue as to the flange details on the TDi block. So far, I have not found a direct bolt on flange from the various Audi's. I am still searching for some variants, but all will take precious room suggesting cooling hose interference. That is why I went to the remote filter approach. Actually leaves more accessibility around the area and permits a vertical mount of a larger and more accessible filter. Perhaps a drawing of the TDi flange? Frank Grunthaner |
