Today I hit about three wrecking yards specializing in foreign auto salvage. It is common practice for these folks to pull the engines immediately and sell the engines for cores to recover their initial investment quickly. I notices some exceptions to this rule with the 1.9 and 2.1 WaserBoxers. So just out of curiosity I took a good look at several of the engines and noticed that they all had busted crank cases and thrown rods (guess this blows a core charge) At any rate I'd think that anyone needing miscellaneous engine parts could buy these engines very cheaply. They also have two standard transmissions for WaserBoxers and all of the standard body parts found on dead WaserBoxers. If this is of interest call them for info. 1-800-666-7167, his name is Brian Sturgeon and he owns I-35 Foreign Auto Salvage. They are located in Alvarado Texas about 40 miles South of Dallas TX.
