Well, I got some bad news about my van yesterday. It's leaking oil from both crankshaft seals, "...due to worn bearings causing shaft to shift in its case. Because crankshaft is shifting, replacing seals is not an option." It goes on to state that I may also have an internal transmission problem, which, as some of you know, I've been worried about for several months. I recently lost my job, and I'm not in a position to get this work done. It also needs some body work as the rust has started getting out of hand. So, it looks like the beginning of the end for me and my vanagon. I'm planning on getting a new car when I get a job, but I haven't decided if I'm going to trade the van in or try to sell it privately, but whatever I do it's going to be very sad for me. I would really like to see it go to one of you guys, if there is any interest, but I'm not prepared with any of the details right now. I'll post again when I know what I'm doing. (Ha ha - like I ever know what I'm doing). Thanks for listening! -Lauren
