If you don't mind going 60 mph on the freeway and having everyone pass you,
and about 30 mph on a big hill then buy it. Don't get me wrong I love
diesels, having owned a 82 deisel westy and driving from NH to Florida and
back, I know it sucks on the freeway(just put a brick on the pedal for
cruise control). But you get great fuel milage and good torque, around town
diesel is the way to go. I sold the engine and tranny out of mine(after it
got wrecked) with 112k on it for $700 so with a good diesel and OK body I
think $1400 is about right.
