I have to agree with Tim. If a list member wants to sell to the list they should post it on the list but if they want to post it on e-bay then let it stop there and let any list member who wants to shop ebay look to ebay. For those of you who are not so familiar with ebay, there is a feature that sends an e-mail to you for any new vanagon listing. For those of you who do not shop ebay, forvgive me for my use of your bandwidth. regards gary Date: Tue, 2 Oct 2001 22:16:59 -0400 From: Tim <h2oboxer@OPTONLINE.NET> Subject: EBAY Sales Posts (Are they really necessary) I was just wondering if it is really necessary to post everytime someone puts something on Ebay. Most people know that parts are available on Ebay and where to look.
First we had vendor sales. We all got past that and know who the list vendors are and where to find their web sites. Then there were the people who sell only "as a hobby" and don't list prices. I feel that if someone is selling their vehicle on Ebay that's probably OK, even though most people probably look there anyway. But is it really necessary to announce to the list that someone is selling stuff like headlight buckets( that you can probably get in a junkyard).
I just hate to see the list clogged with advertisements. Thanks __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Listen to your Yahoo! Mail messages from any phone. http://phone.yahoo.com |
