There is a small bolt in the face of the drum that you can simply remove. Then the drum just slides off over the lug bolts and the axle nut. You may need to whack the drum a bit or even heat it a bit, but it will come off. Also, be sure you have backed the brake adjustment wheel way off so the brake shoe is well clear of the drum on the inside. So far as the star-wheel adjustment direction... I can't tell about that except to try it one way, and then turn the wheel. If the wheel won't turn or the drum drags you are going in the wrong direction. John Rodgers 88 GL Driver |
