I install all of my seal from under an Oak tree. If your mechanic installs from under a Poplar or Pine tree you are likely to have problems. I've also found that they are difficult to get out when the engine is in the vehicle and then difficult to get the new seal back in. It's a measure of care that is used in installing them.
