If the new replacement pads didn't have the correct replacement hardware, such as the OE pads come with, more than likely the anti squeak plates weren't replaced, or eliminated, causing the problem.

I just replaced my front pads and hardware, with OE stuff, and no, zero, zip, nada, problems.

I recall replacing a pair of front pads for a sweetheart, who was driving a 450 SL a few years ago. I replaced them first with premium Grey-Rocks, they made noise. I then took them back and got a set of premium Rabesetos pads. They squeaked. Finally out of desperation, and the need to satisfy the sweetheart, I went to mercedes and got pads.----No problems.

This was a good learning experience---

Factory is always better.

Also I have found that the blue, or orange anti squeak stuff smeared on the back of the pads helps allot too.

Happy Braking.
