Subject: FS: 87 Westy Poptop Weekender need heads
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hey gang,

A friend on mine is selling an 87 Weekender also know as a Base Camper. No fridge or stove but pretty close to a full camper.

This was ordered for California but picked up in Germany. That unfortunately (or fortunate depending on your view) they opted not get the power options. Manual steering but does have AC. The sides between windows are painted instead of vinyl covered. Adjustable armrests. Need screen repaired in poptop I think the heads are blown or could be just gaskets. It's got something like 139,000. Does have the rear AC. Repainted poorly some years ago. Not rusty but needs a repaint. Few cigarette burns in a couple of the seats. Needs rear bumper and there are two small dents.

I was going to buy it but decided that I don't need a fourth Vanagon. Anyway, asking is $1500 as is. Or with a good used engine installed for $2900. Make it $3900 and you get new AMC heads.

Pmail me if you are interested and I can get more info. Located near San Francisco. Perfect for someone to go Tiico or Subaru. This is a project. there are a few annoying things that need to be fixed.

I will try to take pics tomorrow unless he sells it before that.

Yada yada yada....

not mine

BenT
