I have OEM Pagid or Girling brake pads for Vanagons at much cheaper than dealer prices... $19.95 for '80-85 (D195A) $29.95 for '86-91 (D3029A).

That said, a brake squeal is caused by vibration, which may be due to any number of factors, including worn or missing brake hardware, an imperfect rotor, or indeed glazed pads.
