Subject: Looking for the VW Camper experience in the Washington,
              DC area (new member)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I'm interested in getting info on Vanagons in the Washington, DC Metro area. I live in Old Town Alexandria VA, and work in Annapolis MD, and I want to try weekend camping in a vanagon to see if it's a fit for me and my wife. (I don't own one--yet.)

- I've seen a vanagon in Alexandria, VA at 2nd Street & Portner road with a vanagon.com sticker and the VA license plate "Bobness". I live on Powhatan St. (1133). If "Bob" sees this, could I get a tour?

- Do you have any suggestions of how to go about getting to know VW campers? - Are there businesses that rent vanagons/VW campers in the DC area? - Do local dealers allow weekend/overnight test-drives? - Do vanagon.com members ever rent/loan out their vans to people who want to try them out?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to learn about small camper-vans/RVs, and the Vanagon/Westy/VW Camper seems like a great place to start! Thanks Matt Payne
