Not necessarily true. I'll agree but I can't hear mine and I've checked pressure on a lot of pumps over the last seven years and the noisy ones always test the weakest. Most are marginal at best. I throw away the noisy fuel pumps and if you bought a noisy fuel pump the first thing you'd do is demand your money back. A spare fuel pump is a good part to have and I have no problem at all saying that.
