I would drain it back to the full level,
overfilling the oil can cause seals to blow out due to the increased
pressure.  This could end up really wrecking your day!  Of course if you
went by the specs for capacity fill you might have the wrong dipstick or
more likely their was still some of the old oil in the motor.
