Indeed there is...at least here in Oz so I'm sure they're available
elsewhere.
I have seen flexible sections of exhaust lines here at good exhaust
shops in 150mm (6") and 300mm (12") sections in flexable braided stainless
steel with a piece either end to join up to the rest of the exhaust pipe.
Don't know what variety of diameters are available but the ones I've seen
were around the 50mm (2") mark...
You may not find them at the local Midas Muffler type establishments
but good places geared towards older vehicle restorations should be able
to help.
I had need to use one of these recently restoring an old railway section
car to provide a flexible joint in the exhaust pipe as the old two stroker
rattles,bangs & farts and fixed pipes fatigue in a short time.
The flexible section works very well and the exhaust has never given
trouble since :)

but you can't see the exhaust section I'm talking about.
For VW content however it does run a 6V VW battery,VW fuel line
and a bay window Kombi flexable heater tube between the air filter
and carb.Afterall,that's what I had lying around :)
OVC.My '92 has dragged this thing on a trailer over much of the
country and with 217,000kms now on the clock still has it's
original clutch.The 5 sp box runs synth oil and has never needed
to be looked at...reaching for wood as I type ;)
