Subject:   update: power mirror fixed
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi All,

1. I'm happy to inform that I have managed to fix the mirror mount, much easier than I thought it would be after I took it off the door. Yep, working against gravity made the task MUCH more challenging...A chisel and needlenose pliers did the trick.

2. Any original ideas how to prevent theft of this $400 gem hanging outside just waiting to get stolen (following it's brother)?... I've changed the crosshead mounting screws to hex hole type and added two nuts inside the door. Still can be opened with a hex driver. I'm now playing with security (tamperproof) screws but these can be removed easily with a security bit set found at home depot. I need something radical, such as a blank head screw with the nut mounted inside the door, but I'll have to drill out the thread of the door mounted nuts otherwise I'll have trouble removing them if needed.

===== Cheers, TinkerMan
