Subject: Diesel Coolant Hoses
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi All,

There's a special short hose that goes to the head of my 82 Westy diesel. The Bentley shows it real well, but VW doesn't have a clue to what it is. Near as I can tell it isn't shown on the nice coolant hose diagram Bus Depot has on the web. The original hose had one end (head end) larger than the other which went through a hose barb coupler to the heater hose for the long trip to the front of the van. The PO took the heater hose and stretched it to fit the head connection, and it looks like it might be getting ready to go at that connection. Anyone know if the original part can still be obtained?

Any good places for these unusual shaped hoses? Some of them are like works of art, but I noticed most places price them accordingly. Also, is this the best/only message board for diesel information? Thanks.

Rob
