Hi,


I have an '87 Westy and I'm on my way back
to North Carolina after a trip out to
the Pacific Northwest (wonderful)!
My starter has given out and I managed
to land near the VW dealer in Wichita, KS.
Can anyone recommend a shop in Wichita
to swap the starter/solenoid for me?
Usually the dealers have a ridiculous
lead time and I like to patronize
local shops that do good work.


As an aside, when I try to start the van
I hear only the sound of a motor, no
cranking at all. So, I'm guessing the
solenoid has gone south. There seem to be
a number of shops here that will either
rebuild mine or where I can get a bosch
rebuild.
