Bob, I know some on the list are going to cringe at this, but... When this happened to me, I sat on the floor of the bus, placed both feet beside the table for leverage, grabbed the table as close to the latch as possible (at the bottom of the table, close to the floor) and pulled until the damn thing finally released. 'Course that renders the spring all but useless for future use, but that's easily solved too. My table now stays in the fold-down position thanks to a five inch strip of Velcro and some crazy glue.

Short of unbolting and removing the bench seat and taking off the panel that runs from just behind the drivers seat to the very rear of the bus, I don't know of another way of getting the table unstuck. I'd be interested to hear what others say...

Well, as you all know from my previous posts, I bought the Weekender vanagon. It runs great, no major problems. There is a minor problem I'm having tho, and the previous owner doesn't know how to solve it. The table mounted in the wall doesn't open, and no amount of pressing, pounding, etc on all areas of the table surface will cause the spring latch to release it. Any suggestions?
