I installed the canvas on my '85 in a few hours last summer. Instructions from GoWesty were minimal. I did it by myself with a step ladder and a screw gun, with the top in place. I only had to disconnect the support arms.

I think marking the center lines on the canvas was was part of it, and otherwise, it was pretty straight forward. BTW, the three window canvas from GoWesty is a whole new world. Side Visibility! Cross ventilation! Wish I had done it years ago.
