Subject:      What is under the headliner material by the windows?

Hello from Atlanta, Ga.  Both my '81's have a yellowish  discoloration
bleeding through the headliner material on the side and back window areas
above the side panels.  It is probably the contact cement used to affix the
material to the metal window frame areas....  Has anyone ever peeled off the
liner on the vertical areas around the windows and cleaned up the underneath
contact cement covered metal to a nice finish?  I wonder if any of the
European models did not have this fabric over the metal.....????
