Hi,

one day when I was diddling around with the dash of my vanagon I got it into my head that I also had to press down hard on the pedal to get the brake lights to work.

I checked the continuity of each switch and found that one was not as sensitive as the other. So, (and this may sound crazy - who am I kidding, it is crazy) I took my Makita palm sander (minus any sandpaper) and carefully "vibrated" the recalcitrant switch.

You know, I'm convinced that it helped.
