I woke up today and went up to the garage determined to figure out what the "real" problem was before I spent any more dough....also before I

I disconnected the multi-pin thing from the brainbox, turned to page 24.20 in the Bentley and proceeded to poke around with the multitester. Everything checked out, except the AFM...

I connected the OHM-meter to terminals 15 and 19 and got this:

Flap closed - 0 ohms Flap 1/8 to 1/4 open - rises to 1000 ohms Flap open further: descends to 500 ohms Flap fully open - 0 ohms

I got the same results when testing the AFM directly (not through the multi-pin thing).

Those are wacky readings right?

I cant find actual numbers to check against. In the Bentley it just says: "Ohms changing" Anyone know what the range of resistance is supposed to be?

Im probably going to have to fork out for a new AFM arent I?

AAaaarrgghh!
