I'm looking at a '91 Carat (automatic, A/C) that looks great, but both head gaskets are leaking. It's got 130K on it and nothing has been done to it except for regular oil and filter changes. It has been sitting in a driveway for a few months and it fired right up. I will test drive it tomorrow, I didn't have time today. To get an accurate assessment of how much it will cost me, I'm trying to get together a parts list of what should be replaced while I am doing the head gaskets. I don't want to go overboard and replace EVERYTHING, but I do want to be thorough. Anything I should add to my list? Head Gaskets sealant water pump hoses (which ones?) plugs wires distributor cap pushrod seals belts Thanks, Joel |
