One quetsion ive always had about Tiico is the trans gearing. Is it the same as withthe waterboxer? In my waterboxer (auto trans) i do about 65 at 4000 RPM does this mean the inline 4 will do 65 at 4000 rpm too. Seems awful high for any 4 stroke engine. My friends have Jettas that with the inline 4 that do more line 80-85 at 4000 RPM. Gotta wonder if the inline 4 can handle prolonged highway driving that could be above 4500 rpm's? Any comments?

P.S. with the advice of listmember Jon Kanas i just fixed my alternator for $2 (new brushes). Sure beats a rebuilt unit at $180!
