John,
Pull the top off your instrument cluster. You will se a hydraulic resevior
there. Make sure it is filled. If not, the first thing that goes is the
clutch circuit. It pulls fluid out of the top part of the resevior. Brakes
come out of the bottom.
Get some Dot3 or DOT4 and top it up. You may need to bleed the  line, not a
hard job, just messy. I would look to see if your slave cylinder is leaking.
This is located right in board of the front side of your drivers side rear
wheel.
