I now have the U.S. spec drivers side replacement mudflaps for $49.95 (formerly they were $79.95).

Another option is my set of 4 South African mudflaps for $95 with listmember discount. They are also genuine VW, and look similar to the U.S. spec ones for much less money, but will not use the stock mounting hole on the drivers side (they clip around the lower part of the fender lip rather than slightly behind it).

Part numbers: 251 821 809 for the left OEM mudflap; 6881 for the South African set of 4.
