Subject: Looking for TD parts in BC, 2.1L WB for sale
Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

I'm hoping to manage a TD swap into my '88 Westy this winter, so I'm starting to look for all the parts required from a diesel Vanagon, along with a TD (1.6 or 1.9) engine in good condition.

In addition, once this is complete, I will have a smooth running, non leaking 2.1L WB engine for sale. It is a VW factory rebuilt with ~200k km on it, but still runs very well. I don't have recent compression figures, but they were even at around 135-145 if I recall correctly, when done 5 years and ~40k km ago. I installed Bosch platinum plugs at that time and haven't had reason to even pull them since. Obviously this is not a "near- new" engine, but I'm open to offers. It can or will include anything remotely gas related from the van, if desired, such as ECU, AFM, etc.

In both cases I'd prefer to deal with fairly local people (BC or AB) if possible. Please let me know if you have any of the diesel items, or are interested in the WB engine.

Thx.======================== Shawn Wright Computer Systems Manager Shawnigan Lake School http://www.sls.bc.ca swright@sls.bc.ca
