I just picked up my brand-new (well, new to me) '85 Vanagon GL Westfalia on Sunday. During the 3-hour drive back to my apartment, I was much more concerned about getting a moving violation for having my mirrors adjusted improperly, since they're so loose they kept getting pushed out of position by the wind while I was driving 65mph.

I usually piss off the hotrods by driving at most 5mph over the limit even in my newish and peppy Accord, so I very much doubt I'll have to worry about speeding tickets in my Vanagon.
