When you go to put it back in, some chewing gum or something sticky is a great help to hold the moon bolt in place while you start the nut onto it. bmc :)

>>> Michael Nichols <msnichols@MINDSPRING.COM> 10/18/01 04:01AM >>> Hello from Atlanta, Ga. The half moon bolt with nut on the top of the starter can only be accessed and unbolted from inside the engine compartment! This is a very easy procedure. The half moon head fits into a face/notch on the starter, and you turn the nut inside the engine compartment---it is one of the two big nuts on the rear wall of the engine compartment as you look into the area from behind the van---it is the one on the passenger side of the van---it holds the starter/transmission and engine together. Take a wrench to the nut and the bolt will push loose into where the starter is. Then, crawl back under the van and take out the lower bolt, and presto! You are now holding the starter in your hands. Remember to unhook all wires from the starter and unhook the battery before you unbolt the starter..... Hope this helps!
