Nice call, I found .4 volts between the alternator case and engine case (engine running, high beams on). I added a hefty cable between the alternator case and chassis. Also cleaned the alternator's adjustment bracket's contact surfaces. I had already added grounds from each head to chassis so cranking ground losses were <.1 volts. Thanks for getting me thinking. We will see if it helps my recent, intermittent high idle. I would like to add that the ground clusters behind the fuse block can cause problems . Especially if you have a windshield that leaks on them.
