My wife taped the new show Alias this last week and we just watched it the other night. In part of the show the main character's partner is sitting in a Vanagon panel van with all his electronic survailence stuff in the back. The main character is in trouble, he comes to help. He rams the bad guys van broadside, with the vanagon going maybe 40 mph. The other van got flipped over on its side and slide a descent ways, the Vanagon just bounced back a few feet and didn't really look damaged. Of course this is all at night and on a tv show but the impact looked pretty real, why pay for expensive special effects?
