Hi Volks,

Looks like I've got a slow leak from the bottom of my injector pump. I can't tell for sure where it's coming from, but I know it's not from the injector lines. When I rev the Vanagon up to around 2K RPM or so - this maybe causes one drip every ten seconds or so. So it's not a lot of fuel - but I'm concerned. It eventually puddles on the splash pan below, and ends up splattering the back of the vanagon w/ little markings... Should I be concerned from a mechanical view? Is this a big deal? I'm kind of surprised, as the pump doesn't even have 70K on it yet. But then again, it *is* nearly 20 years old. And it hasn't been driven much for a good ten years. Is this something that will eventually carbon up and stop???? Anyone have any feedback? Perhaps this a result of the fuel being turned up too much? Or is it time for a rebuild, etc. etc.???? Your thoughts/experience, as always, would be greatly appreciated!

Peace, John '82 Wet Westy
