Teflon tape on the threads won't solve the problem since the threads don't provide the seal in the first place. The bleeder has a tapered seat at the end that seals when it's tightened. If the tapered end is chewed up, just replace the bleeder. If not, the cylinder will need to be replaced. I did mine several years back; it's not hard. Has anyone tried to put that teflon tape on the threads to help seal it or can anyone think of any reasons that I should NOT do this?
