hi! last march coming up from florida, i stopped a few days at jeckyll island... I had a beautiful site entering the camping state park on the right hand side, and mostlly on the perimeter, there are large campsites, surrounded by small trees, and huge trees everywhere ( we do not have trees like this in the north!) : quite, private sites, you can start to write your autobiography . the big "cruisers" are kept in the middle. For a few days, I really liked the place, for i bicycle a lot, and the island has good paths and a little history, privately owned island until 1947? nice beaches also, in spite of the fact that the water is sandy etc etc.I wished i could have brought a kayak. bring your food and beer, a 6.$ 6-pack is 10.$ there (16.$cdn). I also saw a few vanagons ... pierre a. lachance lac beauport, quebec |
