Les; The cost of any tools you need to buy should be easily offset by the savings of doing it yourself. If you are going to take your time your chances of success are greatly enhanced. I would check carefully to verify the head is indeed leaking. Often a hose drip will run along the seal causing a false panic. I can not see how this would cause such a power loss. Try unplugging your O2 sensor, for T/S purposes.
