Hey volks.. take a look at the "rain gutter" running along the top of the windows of your vanagons. This little gizmo collects all the water off the roof of your vehicle of choice and routes it to either the front or rear, keeping most of it from dripping in your windows. If you are pointed downhill or hit the brakes, you'll get all that water on your windshield. If you are going uphill or burn the tread off your rear tires (engine conversion??) you'll sling that water onto the car behind you. I noticed this phenomenon more in my '78 bay than my '85, but that's what it is. So, unless you have a vanagon with shaved off gutters, yup, it's normal.

Our 85 does it also in rain, so I "assume" this is normal..... Howard
