According to http://www.mahleincaftermarket.com/ they do list Cofap as one of their "brands" at the bottom of the opening page, but I could not find any listing for Cofap rings. The Mahle catalog does not list any rings to fit the 1.6L engines, only 1.8L and above.

If you go to the Europe site from the above, they have downloadable catalogs, but no mention of Cofap. The Latin America site mentions Cofap Rings, so I guess this implies where they are made.
