Neal,

You need a cheater bar. I have a 1" ID pipe that is about 18" long that I slide over my tool of choice's handle and it gives you extra leverage without extra effort.

I also have a Craftsman dropforged 'bar' with a 1/2" socket that is 24" long. I use if regularly to put loosen my wheel lugnuts or any bolt that I have a socket for. Great investment.
