       Same here on my '87 Westy.  Starting out in first gear has always been 
a challenge.  Last time I changed the clutch, about 4 years ago, I had the 
flywheel trued and thought that would cure the problem.  Not !  I do not 
remember what clutch kit I put in there.  It does not, always, do it !  Seems 
to get worse after long driving events, so I presume heat is causing 
something in there to distort, either the flywheel or the pressure plate.  
But, again it has not worsened over the years and I have just leaned to put 
up with it and let the clutch out so that the chattering does not get out of 
hand.
