Subject:      Audi wheel spacers
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

Thanks for all the feedback on the Audi rims.

I've priced the spacers at a couple of machine shops. Looking at $60 each. The whole venture is starting to add up to too much.

A cheaper alternative may be to use discarded vanagon rotors. Does anybody know offhand how thick they are around the bolt area? They call for 8mm (~1/3") spacers. How much leeway is there on this thickness? By going thicker could it result in a wider selection of tires to choose from?

Also would anybody know the specs on the Porsche studs that are required on the rear? These could get pricey as well but there may be an alternative.

Phil
