Can anyone on the list give me some idea what such a collection of parts is worth? (ie: a complete conversion kit from a Vanagon Diesel). I have a price of $700CDN from a local wrecker, but was wondering how this compares with what others have seen. As it stands, I think the current kit on ebay will end up being too costly for me - I figured shipping to be at least $160US based on 150lbs. Add to this the current bid of ~$160US (oops, now $203US), and the new oil pan for $120US, and I'm already at around $750 CDN... :-( So should I just fork over the $700CDN ($450US) for a local kit from the wrecker? (I keep waiting for the $800 Vanagon diesel with a blown engine, but they never seem to appear around these parts...)
