Karl..I'll BET the 1st/2nd Relay lever inside the trans is broken...No easy fix other than to dissassemble & repair/rebuild..I don't trust even the later style relay levers..I weld the pin in place...just one of my pet peeves after I had to do a warranty for Tom Boldway in Iowa or someplace...new part broke..go figure. Daryl of AA Transaxle Duvall, WA.(Seattle area) (425) 788-4070 1-877-377-0773 toll free http://www.aatransaxle.com (web site) Subject: Tranny woes Just installed a 4spd tranny I bought used. No first or second gear. The shift lever goes into the positions, but nothing. No rumble or grind, even with the clutch not depressed (I'm depressed, though). Any ideas from the list tranny gurus? Doesn't feel like a linkage adjustment thing. Karl Wolz |
